MIDNIGHT DIVER Elliott likes to live in a state of perpetual stimulation and try out extravagant new ideas, that appeal to his imagination. He decided to try some one night in Italy and ended up with this arrestingly original image. Elliott froze the action with a flash, but extended the exposure for many seconds to follow the underwater path of the diver, seen as an eerie, shadowy, underwater spectre. Elliott’s possesses the innate ability to pull originality out of the ether and create one-off images. They are without precedent and he never repeats them, preferring instead to create something new every time.
